With an open circuit, when pressing the fire button after the Power is unlocked, it shows 1 long red followed by 3X short red blinks.

Actions: As they are a part of the circuit you should clean the pins with a clean and dry cloth.

Tips: After vaping for extended periods of time residues may build on the connection pins which increase the contact resistance significantly; 

Clean them to make sure good electrical conductivity

3# Cause: Screw thread gets dirty
4# Cause: Battery pin is pushed down
